A Micropile is a small-diameter (usually lower than 12 inches), drilled and grouted substitution pile that generally is strengthened. A micropile is manufactured by drilling a borehole, inserting reinforcement, and grouting the opening. Micropiles can stand up to axial and/or lateral hundreds, and should be viewed as a substitute for
